New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please note the below raised questions and our official responses in connection to the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2018/3168 Question (1): Can you please clarify the number of subprojects that are expected to be monitored during the assignment lifetime?Answer: Around 100 small to medium size subprojects are planned for implementation during the first year in the 3 cities of Sana’a, Aden and Hodeida. As the project is likely to expand into more cities in subsequent years, the number of subprojects is also expected to increase. Question (2): Is it clear if all subprojects will be operational at project start of the assignment? If not how many do you expect to start in 2018, 2019 and 2020? This has an effect on the number of expected site visits.Answer: Same answer as above. Question (3): What is a typical size of a subproject (or a range for the subprojects) to be monitored?Answer: Most of the projects will be implemented through UNOPS local partners listed in the Schedule of Requirements (SOR), with a range of estimated cost of US$ 150k to US$ 1.5m, with majority of subprojects in the lower half of the range. Question (4): Is it clear what percent of the work will be in Sana’a vs Aden vs Hodeidah? This will help estimate transportation requirements.Answer: No, it is not. It is the supplier’s responsibility to plan and propose the solution in response to the RFQ. Please refer to the attached excel sheet Form B. Question (5): Do you have an approximate number of subprojects to be verified for procurement?Answer: Same answer as 1. Question (5): How would you want the project price to be broken down if number of subprojects is not available? By an assumed number of visits or by an assumed number of subprojects? Etc..Answer: Please refer to the attached excel sheet Form B. We encourage you to review our RFQ and submit your best solution. Question (6): What do you mean by SOW?Answer: It is the Scope of Work – Schedule of Requirements. This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly. Thank you.
