New clarification added: Question:As per amended section-II & III, following clarification required:Yeild property mentioned at sl. (f) for span size (in m) 3.048x1.448 & 3.048x2.134 which is denoting the size of the panel. Please clarify (if any) the matrial yeild requirement for others major componnets like Reinforcement, Transom, Stringer, Panel Pin etc.Since load class has been changed from HS-20 to HS-25 thus please clarify the service condition (deflection limit) for load class HS-25.As mentioned at sl.(m) Guaranteed load carrying capacity of at least class HS25 as per BS4360 50B. But BS4360 is defining the material property not loading speification. Please clarify.Answer: 1-3. Please refer to the specifications provided and BS4360 50B (or) Equilvalent.

This may be a video or pictures showing every detail of use.

New clarification added: Question:we have two points unclear. 1. 3(f) under erection equipment under point 2 material secifications on page 2: what is devrib? anything wrong with the word spelling?2. 3 (d) launching link under erection equipment under point 2 material specification o page 2:what is launching link? could you clarify? is this equipment to haul bridge by people?Answer:We have revised the specifications and uploaded. Hope that amendment 1 answer your questions. Please check it.

New clarification added: Question:Please find below our Request for clarificaitons:1. Reference to Lot 1&2 - c. Erection Equipment for Bailey Bridge - Qty 5 sets.As the tools for Bridge 60 feet and 90 feet are different, please clarify each qty of tool for 60 feet and 90 feet. 2. Please kindly extend deadline accordingly after UNOPS issues revised specification.Answer:Now, we have revised the specifications and uploaded the amendment 1- ITB section II and III, and extended deadline accordingly.With many thanks.

New clarification added: Question:There is two more clarifications sought from your end. i) Under Page No. 2 of Section-II-Schedule of Requirements; Sl. No. 3 - Erection Equipment, we find under Sub-Clauses 3(e) & 3 (f), two of the components, namely Crawl Bar and Devrib, to be unknown as per Indian Specifications. Can you, Sir, please elaborate on the usage of these items so that we can propose the Indian Alternative to these items in order to match your requirement?Please enlighten us on the above two erection equipment.ii) Our Bailey bridges have Panels with dimensions of 3.048M (L) X 1.54M (H). Can we provide these items to match your requirement of specific AASHTO-HS-20-44 Loading?Answer:We have revised the specifications and uploaded the amendment 1- section II and III. New clarification added: Question:In the Section II: Schedule of Requirements, we have found out that technical data for Compact 100 and Compact 200 for Dimension, Materials, Strength mentioned are all the same.We would like to inform you that in "The Compact Bridge System" for Compact 100,the Panel length should be 3.05meter (10feet) long and the height is 1.45meter (4Feet 9inch) and for Compact 200, Panel length should be 3.05meter(10feet)long and the height is 2.113meter(7 feet) .We would like to know, how shall we submit our price proposal for Compact 100 and Compact 200. Please clarify.Answer:We notice about that. Now we are revising the specifications and will upload it agian.

New clarification added: Question:Please note following additional Clarifications:1. In your Section II: Schedule of Requirements you have mentioned Compact 100 for Lo1 and Compact 200 for Lot 2.2. Compact 100 and Compact 200 are two different types of Bridges, but in your detail specification (Section II) all specifications are same for both types of Bridges.3. So we are unable to understand the specification of exact requirements.4. Also request you to please give us Drawings, if any you have for these projects.5. Please clarify all points and give us exact specifications, dimensions of every parts.Answer:We notice about that. Now,we are revising the specifications and will upload it agiain.We do not have drawings.

In Your Tender Particulars you asked for Pricing incoterms DDP, means all bids shall be submitted net of any Direct Taxes( customs duties, indirect taxes, VAT etc).2. But in your Form C you have asked Pricing incoterms DAP.3. Kindly confirm us which incoterms shall we consider for Pricing. Answer:We asked for DAP. Your bid should not include the named taxes, which UNOPS is exempted from.

New clarification added: Question:Sir, after reviewing the contents of your Tender documents, we would humbly seek your claifications to the following issues enabling us to formulate our best proposal / bid accordingly.1. Can we offer our product compatible with your requirement but as per Indian Standards and Defence Specifications? We will offer you Bailey Bridges that conform to AASHTO HS-20-44 Loading.2. We understand the Bank Guarantee as Bid Security needs to be submitted to your office on or before the Bid Opening Date. Can you please elaborate the detailed Name and Address of the UNOPS Benficiary? Also does the BG need to be enforceable from any Bank(s) in Myanmar?3. Is Power of Attorney required for the undersigned to participate in the bid? Answer:1. Yes, equivalents are accepable as per ITB sections II and III.2. Bid security is not required.3. Power of attorney is not required.

The standards were set as a minimum and are intended to eliminate unsatisfactory materials or unsafe designs. Suppliers are free to bid for equivalent standards or designs as indicated in the ITB sections II and III.2. There was no intention to limit the requirement to any specific standards. With reference to ITB kindly note that Schedule of Requirements i.e. Compact 100 & Compact 200 which is specific product of a European Company.2. Al the descriptions of requirements are made by specific to the standards of a UK based company who has Patent for this type of Bailey Bridges.3. We have also the similar type of Panel Bridges and we can also submitted our bid for this ITB4. We now request you to kindly moderate the specification of above Bailey Bridges so that other companies can participate for this ITB. Like it is done in all World Bank/ADB etc founded tenders.5. Also very surprisingly the time is given 15days for submission of tender. Usually World Bank, Asian Development Bank or others are given time 45days or more.6. It is hence requested that:· A date of per-bid meeting be specified with 2 weeks advance notice.· Time to seek clarifications be accorded for upto 2weeks post the pre bid meeting.· The bid submission date accordingly be extended to 15th Sept 2017 or as may be feasible.
