Expression of Interest - Phased design and construction for ReNuAL project

The IAEA intends to award a “Phased Design and Construction” contract to enable the successful implementation of the Renovation of the Nuclear Applications Laboratories (ReNuAL).

The intended contract is for the phased design and subsequent construction of up to three laboratories, the Dosimetry Laboratory Bunker (DOL), the Flexible Modular Laboratory (FML) and the Insect Pest Control Laboratory (IPCL) as well as supporting infrastructure. The total foot print of these three laboratory building is about 10 350 sqm gross. The budgetary estimate is 25-30 million EUR for all parts.

The intended contract will be in phases with release of Work Packages or parts thereof upon completion of prior Works and funds availability. The intended length of the contract is up to 5 years.

The IAEA intends to release the solicitation on or about 1 October 2015 with an industry day/bidders conference tentatively scheduled for on or about 5 October 2015. The IAEA intends to award the contract by the end of 2015 with initial work, i.e. completion of detailed design, to kick-off in January 2016.
The IAEA intends to issue to a construction company that can oversee all phases of the design and construction.
