United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) serves as the United Nations Headquarters in Africa and is responsible for providing facilities and services to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and other United Nations entities based at UN Gigiri complex. One of the services UNON provides is a structured cabling system (Voice and Data) to support high-availability in the data centers, switch rooms, building-to-building connectivity, security management systems, video-conferencing, wireless services, IT equipment and its application. UNON is seeking Contractor(s) to supply, deliver, install, configure, test and provide structured cabling support and maintenance services with the objective of enhancing and expanding its ability to provide a proper design, installations works and maintenance of the cabling infrastructure, that will reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency, manageability, reliability and availability. The Contractor(s) shall provide on-site support and maintenance, supply, deliver, install, configure, and test structured cabling (Voice and Data) in UNON data centres, security management systems (access control system, video surveillance system (CCTV)), storage area networks (SAN), building-to-building connectivity, and network infrastructure used at UNON facilities. UNON anticipates establishing contract(s) for an initial period of three (3) years, with an option to extend for an additional two periods of one (1) year each. Accordingly UNON invites suitable fully licensed and authorised firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the provision of structured cabling maintenance services. Subsequent to the closing date of this EOI, UNON anticipates to issue a formal solicitation document to potential companies who have expressed interest to provide the goods and services in accordance with the requirements that will be fully specified in the solicitation document. The complete details of qualification requirements will be provided in the solicitation document. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. Interested vendors must possess the necessary technical expertise and capacity to provide the required services, as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate in the tender. Please refer to Annex A for the eligibility criteria. Interested vendors are required to express their interest as follows: a) via the link in UNGM provided at the Vendor Response section of the EOI, and b) Submit the filled out self declaration form attached as Annex A of this EOI via email to unon-procurement-rfx@un.org keeping in copy lydia.mkanjumwa@un.org. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submission will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
