Description

UNESCO, with funding from the European Union, is implementing the project “Reviving the Spirit of Mosul and Basra Old Cities” to restore and rehabilitate key heritage sites affected by conflict in Iraq. As part of this initiative, UNESCO invites qualified contractors to participate in the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Barood Khana in Mosul, a historic Ottoman-era structure that has served various functions, including an armory, book depot, and storage facility.

Despite limited past rehabilitation efforts, the building remains structurally compromised and requires urgent conservation and strengthening. The awarded contractor will execute the necessary works following the approved technical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), and quality control standards.
