RFQ-2022-48 Strategic Information Consultant
Description :The purpose of this RFQ is to select suitable supplier for the procurement of National Strategic Information Consultant.
Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Duration of work: June 16, 2022 - June 15, 2023 (12 months)
The Strategic Information Consultant will be assigned for supporting UCO in implementing following priorities on the following responsibilities:
Key tasks:
• Manage, coordinate, and influence the prioritization process and technical aspects with a view of future programming efforts.
• Coordinate and support the implementation of the following:
o Bio-behavioral surveys,
o Hotspot mapping and size estimation for key populations,
o Routine Monitoring and Evaluation System,
o Analyses of status and trends of the epidemic including mode of transmission.
• Support the coordination and mobilization of resources from government and key partners to enable the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of NHSP priorities with a focus on Strategic Information (using an evidence informed approach).
• Coordinate and support the impact analysis process to estimate health outcomes and economic benefits using modelling.
• Support update of the National Consolidated Strategic Information Guidelines 2021-2026 in line with the priorities of NHSP 2021-2026.
• Coordinate and support on preparation and finalization of Global AIDS Monitoring (GAM) country reporting 2023.
• Coordinate and support NCASC to generate, update, disseminate and utilize national and sub-national level HIV estimates on an annual basis.
• Support the implementation of National AIDS Spending Assessment covering period of 2020-2022.
• Ensures follow-up and provide support to the UNAIDS Country Director for specific programmatic actions and reprogramming informed by strategic analyses that identify programme gaps.
• Development and implementation and reporting of UN Joint Team on AIDS in Nepal priorities.
• Any other support to UNAIDS Country Office (UCO) as required.
