Complementary Feeding Bowl and Spoon

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is launching a tender (Request for Proposals) for production of high quality complementary feeding bowls and spoons for use in UNICEF programming globally. Interested suppliers are invited to submit proposals for Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with UNICEF for the production of high quality infant feeding bowls and spoons in accordance with technical specifications (Annex B).

Initial order quantity would likely be 50.000-80.000 bowl and spoon sets for relatively small-scale programme implementation in a number of countries in Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA) as a collaboration between UNICEF and World Food Programme (WFP). However, it is envisioned that subsequent orders will be coming on an ongoing basis. With over 23 million mothers receiving nutrition counselling each year, this initial small-scale programme implementation is anticipated to lead to implementation at scale. 

Proposers are required to submit any questions in respect of this Solicitation Document by EMAIL to innovateforchildren@unicef.org  and copy to najones@unicef.org. Emails should include ‘Complementary Feeding Bowl’ as the Subject.

A supplier consultation will be held online on 26th August 2020 at 11:00 Copenhagen time, to answer questions in relation to the Request for Proposals. All Q&A will be published subsequently to the consultation. All bidders are encouraged to attend, however, their non-attendance shall not result in any disqualification.

The deadline for receipt of any questions is 21st August 2020 at 23:59hrs Copenhagen. The Proposer’s Proposal will include all of the following labelled annexes:

• Annex 1: Bid form
• Annex 2: Technical questionnaire (sheets B and C completed)
• Annex 3: Technical drawings of design (Do not send samples at this time. Only selected products meeting all mandatory technical requirements will be invited to submit a sample)
• Annex 4: Commercial form
