The Annual Statistical Report on UN Procurement provides data on United Nations system of organisations procurement of goods and services in support of its operations.

The 2010 Report includes:

• United Nations system procurement by country of supply
• A procurement trend analysis of UN procurement from developing countries and countries with economies in transition
• UN procurement from member countries of the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee
• The top 10 items and product groups procured by UN agencies; and
• UN procurement from vendors that support the Global Compact
• A comparative analysis of the agency share of Goods and Services categories procured by UN agencies

For the third year, the Annual Statistical Report on UN Procurement also features a thematic supplement on current issues in procurement. The focus for the 2010 supplement is the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The publication includes articles by UN Secretary-General Ban Kid-moon, and Special Advisor on MDGs to the UN Secretary-General Jeffery Sachs. The volume also brings together a number of case studies highlighting initiatives where procurement plays a central role in meeting the development goals.
